Mr. Wendehack established an office in New York about 1915. He was trained in architecture in New York and Europe, and served as draftsman in Donn Barber’s office a few years before launching his career in Montclair.
In his work Mr. Wendehack achieved success in designing fine homes and luxurious Country Clubs in New York state, among the latter the Winged Foot Country Club in Mamaroneck; the Ridgewood Country Club; Park Club in Buffalo, and finally the Nassau Country Club on the old Salisbury Golf Links near Westbury, N.Y.
After 1930 he numbered among his clients several wealthy citizens of Caracas, Venezuela, for whom he designed a country club, also the Edificio Planchart, one of the largest Automobile Show Buildings in South America.
