In 1948 Collin Wilcox received his Bachelor of Arts from Antioch College.
Mr. Wilcox wrote advertising copy, taught art, and owned a furniture and lamp store in San Francisco, California, before he began his career as a mystery novelist. His first book, The Black Door, was published in 1967. Most of his stories were set in San Francisco. Mr. Wilcox also wrote suspense novels under the pseudonym Carter Wick.
Mr. Wilcox belongs to Democratic party of the United States.
Collin Wilcox married Beverley Buchman on December 20, 1954. The couple had two sons, Christopher and Jeffrey.
