Craig Alden Johnson, American Geologist. Achievements include research in geosciences using stable isotope geochemistry and chemical thermodynamics on the genesis of metamorphic rocks and hydrothermal mineral deposits, the history of primitive meteorites, the origin of contaminants in groundwaters, the elucidation of paleoclimate. Recipient Henry DeWitt Smith award American Institute of Mining, Metallurgy, and Petroleum Engineers, 1984.
