Cristina was born on March 8, 1952 in Madrid, Spain. She is a daughter of Fernaudo Enriquez de Salamanca, a plastic surgeon, and Pilar Celada, a homemaker.

In 1976 Cristina finished Autonomous University of Madrid and got law degree. It is important to note, that in 1990 Christina attained Master of Arts degree, graduating from University of Minnesota. In 1994 she obtained Doctor of Philosophy degree.
From 1976 till 1977 Cristina worked as an associate at Law office of Rafael Burgos in Madrid, Spain. Also, beginning from 1978 to 1979 she was a partner at law office of Jaime Miralles and Manuel Miralles in Madrid, Spain. In 1980 Enríquez de Salamanca held the post of a bilingual interpreter at U.S. Federal Government on Fort McCoy, Wisconsin, United States. From 1980 till 1982 Cristina served as a bilingual interpreter at Hata Reservations, Inc. in Madison, Wisconsin, United States. Moreover, from 1983 to 1984 and from 1992 to 1994 she worked as a teacher of Spanish as a second language at Language school Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain.
What is more, from 1984 till 1988 Cristina Enríquez de Salamanca worked as an independent research associate at Women’s Studies Center, Autonomous University of Barcelona in Spain. From 1984 till 1985 she held the post of a teacher of Spanish for foreign employees at Sanyo Spain in Spain. Since 1995 to 1996 Cristina was a visiting assistant professor of Spanish and Portuguese at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, United States. In 1996 the woman worked as a professor of Spanish at Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont, United States. Moreover, since 1996 she served as a lecturer of Spanish literature at University of California in San Diego, California, United States. Cristina is working on "Under the Mother’s Gaze".
