Brady, Cyrus Townsend was born on December 20, 1861 in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, United States. Son of Jasper Ewing and Harriet Cora (Townsend) Brady.

Education

Graduated from the United States Naval Academy, 1883. Doctor of Laws, St. John’s College, Maryland.

Career

Studied theology under Bishop Worthington, Nebraska. Deacon, 1889, priest, 1890, Protestant Episcopal Church.

Rector P.E. chs. in Missouri and Colorado and archdeacon of Kansas until 1895, and archdeacon of Pennsylvania till 1899. Rector of St. Paul’s Church, Overbrook, Philadelphia, 1899-1902. In literature work, 1902-1905.

Rector various chs., 1905-1914. Assistant minister St. Stephen’s Church, New York, since 1914. Chaplain 1st Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Spanish-American War.
