Dale Dickson

Career

Originally from Shepparton, Dickson, who played as a utility, averaged 16 disposals a game in his first two league seasons. After appearing in the first round of the 1985 season, he didn"t play senior football for the rest of the year and returned in 1986 to play nine games. Playing as a back pocket defender, Dickson had 19 disposals.

He remained in Queensland after his league career finished and is now the Chief Executive Officer of City of Gold Coast Council.

Achievements

• He played ten games in 1984 and in a win over the Sydney Swans kicked four goals.

Membership

Having been released by Melbourne, Dickson was a member of Brisbane"s inaugural squad and took part in their historic opening VFL fixture, against North Melbourne.
