Dan Staley

Staley began his career in advertising, working as a copywriter at J. Walter Thompson and Deutsch Incorporated. in New New York His transition to television was equally successful. He worked on the final four seasons of the National Broadcasting Company sitcom Cheers.
He wrote 14 episodes for the show and eventually became co-executive producer.
After Cheers ended its run, Staley went on to create numerous pilots and several series including George and Leo, Love & Money and Men, Women & Dogs. In 2009, he wrote an episode of the British sitcom My Family.
He was most recently executive producer and showrunner of hit Disney Channel show Good Luck Charlie, which ended its 100 episode run in July, 2013. Staley has been nominated for the Emmy five times, in 1992, 1993, 2012, 2013 and 2014.
Born and raised in Southern California, he is a graduate of Yale University.
