Career
He rose to prominence with Complex television Desus versus Mero, which was a 46-episode podcast that was first released on 18 December 2013. While working as a small business columnist for a financial magazine, in April 2008 he opened a Twitter account under the handle desusnice and soon gained a considerable follower count because of his jokes.
He debuted the podcast Desus versus
Mero via iTunes on 18 December 2013 titled "The World Premiere". In December 2014, Music Television announced that Desus and The Kid Mero would be joining the cast of Guy Code for season 5, along with 11 other new cast members.
They appeared on the first episode of season 5 which was originally aired on 14 January 2015. After building a relationship with Music Television and MTV2, Desus and Meroappeared on other shows like Uncommon Sense and Joking Office.
The duo started a new podcast on September 11, 2015 titled Bodega Boys recorded live at Redbull Studios.
