Career
Donati was recruited from Old Xaverians in the Victorian Amateur Football Association, with the 79th selection of the 1996 American Federation of Labor-Congress Draft. Picked for the seniors by coach Robert Walls just once, he played in Richmond"s loss to the Brisbane Lions at The Gabba and had three disposals. In 2010, Donati spent a season with Geelong Football League club Lara and then announced his retirement at the end of the year.
Before that he had played over 100 games for Noble Park in the Eastern Football League.
