Daniel Ogden was born December 16, 1963 Ashton, United Kingdom.

Education

Daniel Ogden received a Bachelor of Arts with first-class honors from Corpus Christi College in 1986 and a Doctor of Philosophy in 1991. He also attended New College.

Career

Daniel Ogden is a Professor of Classics and Ancient History at the University of Exeter, England. He has also taught at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Oxford University and the University of Swansea in Wales. From 1997 to 1998 Daniel was a fellow at the Center for Hellenic Studies.

Daniel has published his first book entitled Greek Bastardy in 1996. His most recent book is The Legend of Seleucus: Kingship, Narrative and Mythmaking in the Ancient World, which was published in 2013.
