In 1981 Danny Dixon received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Abilene Christian University and a Master of Arts degree in 1984.
From 1985 to 1986 Danny Dixon was a University minister at the Church of Christ in Blacksburg, Virginia, at Culver-Palms Church of Christ in Los Angeles from 1987 to 1990. From 1991 to 1992 he worked as an interim evangelist at McCamey (Texas) Church of Christ. From 1992 to 1994 he was a school teacher at Crosbyton (Texas) Consolidated School District, at Lubbock (Texas) Indiana School District from 1994 to 1995.
From 1995 to 1996 he was youth minister at Christ's Church in the City, Los Angeles. In summer 1987 Danny was an interim pulpit minister at Oakey Boulevard Church of Christ, Las Vegas. In 1984, 1987 he served as an assistant to dormitory director at Abilene Christian University.
