Danny G. Langdon was born on November 16, 1938, in Twin Falls, Idaho, United States. He is the son of Lambert and Marion (Smith) Langdon.
Danny Langdon attended the University of Idaho where he received a Bachelor of Science in Education degree in chemistry in 1961. At the University of Missouri, he obtained a Master of Education degree in secondary administration in 1962. He also attended New York University in 1964-65, the University of Pennsylvania in 1972 and Georgetown University in 1976.
Danny Langdon began his career in 1962 as a United States Peace Corps teacher in Harar, working in Ethiopia till 1964. The next year he joined Job Corps Center in Pleasanton as an instructor and supervisor, the position he held till 1967. From 1967 till 1969, he held the position of a manager at Central Programmed Teaching. During the next ten years, he was director of instructional design at the American College of Life Underwriters (now the American College of Financial Services). Then he joined Morrison Knudsen Corporation and worked as director of corporate training till 1990. Then he went to the International Technology Corporation and was director of quality management till 1993.
In 1993, Langdon was made president of Performance International, consulting in business performance improvement. He is the originator of the Language of Work Model trademark, and has presented at more than 35 international conferences, published numerous articles, and conducted numerous workshops.
Langdon is also known as the author. His books include Interactive Instructional Designs for Individualized Learning (1973), The New Language of Work (1995), and Aligning Performance: Improving Performance in People, Systems, and Organizations (1999). He is the co-author of the trilogy - The Business Model: Using the Language of Work to Organize and Align Work, The Managing Model: Using the Language of Work to Facilitate Work, and The Working Model: Using the Language of Work to Implement Work. This trilogy is a legacy of practical knowledge and practice for executives, managers, and workers. Each book is based on the Language of Work Formula, translated into usable Work Analytic Tools, with decades of proof of concept.
He also co-edited with Kathleen Whiteside the book Intervention Resource Guide: Fifty Performance Improvement Tools (1999).
It's also worth noting, that Danny G. Langdon is head of Loaves and Fishes Food Drive for Santa Monica church.
Danny Langdon is best known as a recognized business consultant and prolific author. In recognition of his work, he received honors such as awards for the Outstanding New Systematic Approach and Outstanding Performance Aid from the National Society for Performance and Instruction.
He is the recipient of three major International Society for Performance Improvement awards of excellence and is an Honorary Life Member of this organization in acknowledgment of his merits.

Danny G. Langdon was married twice. The marriage with his first wife, Patricia O'Hara, produced two children, Lisa and Kimberly. Then the couple separated and he married Kathleen Whiteside on December 29, 1991.
Kathleen (Whiteside) Langdon is the co-founder of Performance International, who served external clients for more than thirty years, concentrating on embedding work performance improvement in numerous companies. She served as the corporate director of Human Resources for a major service medical organization. She is past president of ISPI and invited speaker for the annual ISPI Awards Banquet. Besides, Kathleen led 15 business executives to explain performance technology to the White House. She is the co-editor of Intervention Resource Guide: 50 Performance Improvement Tools, who also published numerous articles. She is a frequent presenter at conferences in the United States and abroad.
