David Black

Black, David was born on April 21, 1945 in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Son of Henry Arnold and Zelda Edith (Hodosh) Black.

Education

Bachelor cum laude, Amherst College, 1967; Master of Fine Arts, Columbia University, 1971.

Career

Free-lance writer, since 1971. Writer-in-residence Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, Massachusetts, 1982-1986. Scholar-in-residence Kirkland House, Harvard University, since 2002.

Fellow Pierson College Yale University, since 2008. Guest lecturer Tisch School of the Arts.
