Career
He is a retired English and Media teacher at Appleby College. Boyd also writes historical fiction for adults as Doctorate.K.R. Boyd. Volume One of his World War Two-era historical fiction series titled "The Reflecting Manitoba," was published in July 2013.
Volume Two is published on April 1, 2015.
Volume Three is slated for April 2017. As a playwright, Boyd adapted Shakespeare"s Macbeth to create Macbeth: A Multimedia Event (1995) and Julius Caesar to create Caesar: A Multimedia Event (2005).
His series of sports poetry for children begins with the publication of "My Mom Always Yells Too Loud in the Arena and Other Poems about Hockey" in 2013. He also writes dystopian fiction — The Grief Team—under the pseudonym of David Collins.
He is the brother of economist Doctor Lorraine Eden.
