David Elliot Cohen began his career as an editor and writer. He created four New York Times bestsellers: A Day in the Life of America, A Day in the Life of the Soviet Union, America 24/7 and Christmas in America. Cohen published What Matters in 2008, that combined photo-reportage about essential issues of our time with essays by prominent commentators. “What Matters” covers 18 global issues, ranging from safe water access to genocide to the grief of the families of lost soldiers. In 2009 he published his book Obama: The Historic Front Pages that became a USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestseller.
He also wrote a travelogue, One Year Off which chronicles a rambling 16-month trip around the world by land, air, and sea with his three children, Kara, William, and Lucas. Cohen wrote a second travelogue in 2016, entitled The Wrong Dog.
David Elliot Cohen is known as an American author and editor who created more than 70 photography books. His most famous books are A Day in the Life of America, What Matters, One Year Off and The Wrong Dog.
Cohen won International Book Award, a National Indie Excellence Award and Independent Press Award for his book The Wrong Dog in 2018.
