1914 began medical studies at Edinburgh University. 1920 graduate Medical Faculty, Yur’yev (Tartu) University, which was evacuated to Voronezh during World War 1.
1919-1922 military surgeon in Red Army. 1921-1928 intern, then assistant professor Clinic for Nervous Diseases, Khar’kov Medical Institute.
From 1928 worked for railroad medical service in Khar’kov. 1931 read course on industry and occupational psychoneurology at Ukraine Institute of Postgraduate Medical Training. 1938-1939 head, Chair of Nervous Diseases, Stalingrad Medical Institute.
1941-1943 worked for medical service, TurkeslanSiberian Railroad and various hospitals. Specialized in the organisation of psychoneurological outpatients facilities, occupational diseases and the semiotics of nervous diseases. Did major research on syphilis of the nervous system and diseases of the peripheral nervous system, a subject on which he wrote a standard monograph.
Member. Psychoneurological Section, Learned Medical Council, Ukraine People's Commissariat of Health. Member, Learned Council, Centr Ukraine Psychoneurological Institute. Bureau member, Psychoneurological Section, Khar’kov Medical Institute.
Member. Learned Council and Bureau for Psychoneurological Conferences, Centr Hospital, Minister of Means of Communication. Wrote 39 papers, two monographs and over 20 popular works.
