Named a St. Louis Media Hall Fame, 2007; named to Writers Hall of Fame of America, Springfield, Missouri, 2002, Missouri Newspapers Hall of Fame, 2002; recipient University Missouri Faculty and Alumni award, 1988, University Missouri Distinguished Service in Journalism medal, 1989, St. Louis Jermiah award, 1991.


Lipman, David was born on February 13, 1931 in Springfield, Missouri, United States. Son of Benjamin and Rose (Mack) Lipman.
