Mr. Platt worked as a film reviewer at Daily Worker from 1933 to 1958. He was appointed film and music critic and member of editorial board by Jewish Currents magazine during 1958-1985, editor emeritus, 1985-1992. Then he served at Morning Freiheit as a managing editor and editor of English section. Since 1930 Mr. Platt became a co-founder of Experimental Cinema magazine.
