After passing through the routine of a printing office, edited two issues of Hazell’s Annual. Joined the editorial start of Illustrated London News, 1892, and was appointed assistant editor 1895. Editor Windsor Magazine, 1895-1898.
Editor Temple Magazine, 1898-1899. Editor Cassell's Magazine and The Quiver, 1905-1909. Contested Liberal Dulwich, 1906, and by-election, 1900. Journalist.
