David Grigorievich Gutman was one of the initiators of the creation of miniature theaters in Russia. He headed a number of theaters in Moscow. Producer of many performances in the Moscow and Leningrad theaters of satire, music halls, operetta. Repertoire - dramatic, ballet and opera performances. The presentation of "Rus" (the history of the development of the theater in Russia from pagan times) caused a particular interest.
Career
In 1917-1919, he directed the Free Theater that he founded in Voronezh, which united a number of theatrical figures in Moscow and Petrograd (composer S.N. Vasilenko, director N.M. Foregger, opera soloist Zimin, M.F. Moiseyev and others).
