Career
She was appointed dean in April, 2015. This is her second stint as dean, having previously served from 2001 through 2011. Prior to that, she was a professor at the Graduate School of Education, University of California, Los Angeles, from 1977 to 2000.
Stipek was also a Congressional Science Fellow, Society for Research in Child Development from 1983 to 1984.
Stipek holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Developmental Psychology from Yale University (1977) and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Washington (1972).
