Career
Trained in Indian classical music, Dhriti’s repertoire is a blend of lounge and Indian classical with elements of folk from Northeast India. Dhriti’s musical training started in 1992 when he started studying Indian classical music in Tezpur. His interest in music took him to Delhi for further training in Indian music
In 2004, he joined the School of Audio Engineering at Chennai and earned a diploma in sound engineering.
A year later Dhriti took a year-long sojourn in Varanasi to learn the tabla and collaborate with various visiting musicians from across the world. Dhriti released his first music album, Mon Akax, in 2010 and Xunali Dhanoni in 2011 which claimed great popularity and positive reviews from critics.
