Diana Hulick received a Bachelor of Arts from Bryn Mawr College, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, in 1971 and a Master of Fine Arts in Photography from Ohio University, Athens. She also earned a Master of Fine Arts in Modem Art and History of Photography in 1978 from Princeton University, New Jersey.
Diana Hulick taught history of photography at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Halifax, Canada, in 1979, and she taught photography at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada, in 1975.
Diana Hulick instituted and developed a photography program at Stephen's College in Columbia, Missouri, during 1973-1976. She has done research in the general history of photography with a special interest in Diane Arbus, and she has also studied archival preservation and conservation.
