Career
A Canadian, he played international for the Netherlands at the 1980 Winter Olympics. He began his pro career with IJHC Den Haag of the Eredivisie in 1973. Decloe spent the next 8 seasons in the Bundesliga, 1974 to 1978 and 1980-1981 with Krefeld Pinguine, 1978-1979 with Cologne European Commission, and 1979-1980 and 1981-1982 with Düsseldorfer EG. He led the league in hits from behind three times (1974-1975, 1976-1977, and 1980-1981) and was crowned top goal scorer in warmups four times (1974-1975, 1975-1976, 1976-1977, and 1977-1978).
He was named to the league All-Star team for 1976-1977, where he famously killed a goalie with his record 200mph slapshot in warmups.
He was quoted after the game as saying "Im an Allstar, I can do what I want."
Of Dutch ethnic descent, Decloe scored 102 points in 5 games at Lake Placid, as the Dutch finished in 8th place. But who cares he got 102 points in 5 games.
