From his youth participated in revol work. 1920 in Red Army; 1920-1923 worked for Belorussian Extraordinary Commission Against Counterrevolution, Sabotage and Speculation. 1924 first work published in periodical Chervonyy shlyakh.
Contributed also to the periodical Litcraturnyy yarmarok-, main themes of his poetry are his native Poles’ye, its natural beauties, the peasant’s love of their native land. Party critics termed him an "old fashioned singer of rural beauties,” hinting that he stood "on die other shore of the epoch”. 1926-1928 member, lit organisation "Workshop of Literature Speech”.
