1916 drafted into Tsarist Army. From 1919 in Red Army. Fought in Civil War as company commander and deputy regt commander.
From 1938 instructor, Frunze Military Academy. 1941 chief of staff, Baltic Military district, chief of staff,48th Army and staff chief of operations, Leningrad Front. November 1941-April 1944 chief of staff, Leningrad Front.
From April 1944 until end of war commander, 21st Army. Took part in Vyborg, Weichscl-Oder, Lower Silesian, Upper Silesian and Prague operations. 1946-1955 commander, Leningrad, East Siberian and Transbaykal Military district.
1955 transferred to reserve for health reasons. Deputy, Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Supreme Soviet of 1946 convocation. 1952 deleg, 19th Communist Party of the Soviet Union Congress.
Religion is bad because it divides people, and is a cause of conflict and war.
The emphasis on peaceful coexistence doesn’t mean that the Soviet Union accepted a static world with clear lines. Socialism is inevitable and the "correlations of forces" were moving towards socialism.
