Career
Dmitry Andreevich was a servant at court, in 1833 opened his own workshop. He was ranked as a temporary (from 1833), from 1851 – a permanent master of the St. Petersburg metal-carving workshop. For a long time (until 1859) he was engaged in charity, was the foreman in force of the St. Petersburg Demidov House of Charity. In the beginning of the 40s tried himself in painting.

Personality
Aksyonovsky's loyal feelings towards the "Tsar the Father" were supported by the atmosphere of the palace splendor, in which he spent a significant part of his life. That helped him to write a collection of poems dedicated to the royal persons. Also a significant part of the collection is composed of verses glorifying skillful housekeeping and economic wisdom, some of them were of religious content.
