Dmitry Vladimirovich Hvan is a mechanical engineer, teacher, and professor. In 1994 he became a doctor of technical sciences. In 2002 Dmitry Vladimirovich received the title of Honored Inventor of the Russian Federation. He is the author of over 70 works, including the book Improving the Efficiency of Metal Processing by Pressure.

Education

In 1964 Dmitry Vladimirovich graduated from the mechanical faculty of Tomsk Polytechnic Institute.

Career

In 1964-1968, Dmitry Vladimirovich was a master, design engineer of the Tomsk plant Manometer, in 1968-1971 he worked as an assistant at the Tomsk Polytechnic Institute. Since 1974, he worked as an assistant professor, professor, and since 1997 head of the Department of Applied Mechanics of the Voronezh Polytechnic Institute (now Voronezh State Technical University).

His research interests include the development of high technologies to increase the bearing capacity of structural elements based on plastic deformation.
