Career
He was promoted to defensive coordinator on January 28, 2010, after spending the previous season as the team"s linebackers coach. Martindale has previously been a coach for Defiance College, the University of Notre Dame, University of Cincinnati, Western Kentucky University, and the Oakland Raiders. Before the 2009 season, Martindale interviewed for the Raiders head-coaching job.
On February 2, 2012, the Ravens signed Martindale as linebackers coach.
