Career
He was a Sergeant-Major on war service, 335th F.A. Pattrson served in American Expeditionary Force (87th Division). Also he served in Volunteer Corps Service for 1 year (American Co.) and Shanghai Volunteer Corps. From 1917 till 1918 Don Denham worked as a reporter at Kansas City Star. Also, from 1918 to 1919 he was an editor at Associated Press. In 1918 Patterson held the office of the director of publicity at U.S. Food Administration. Starting from 1916 till 1917 he worked as a University Publisher (University of Missouri). Moreover, Don worked as a Correspondent in China for The Chicago Tribune, The Los Angeles Times, The Fairchild Publications, The Class Journal Publications. In 1920 he was an editor at The Oriental Motor. From 1921 till 1922 Pattersom was a Professor of Journalism at St. John’s University, Shanghai.
