1999Quotations: "My writing is generated by a perceived educational need. All is nonfiction designed to assist others in learning about the creatures with which we share this world. Thirty years of experience in the polar areas, working in areas related to natural history, have provided the experience on which some of my writing is based."
Donald Pattie is married to Elke Sibbele. The marriage produced three children: Kevin, Chris, and Christopher.
