Quotations:
"I get frustrated when I try to look something up and either cannot find it or find pieces of the information in many different places. My motivation for writing is a desire to put all the information in one specific location. Then another researcher won’t have to look all over the place in order to answer a question."
"My writing process begins when I pick a topic which interests me and try to find a reference book on that subject. If no reference book exists, I next determine if enough information can be gathered to justify the time and effort necessary to compile it for publication. If enough information can be gathered,
I start compiling it. I use many methods to research the topic. I always use the library – sometimes private, special interest libraries, but rarely to the exclusion of public libraries. I increasingly use the Internet for research, using a variety of search engines."
"I love trivia and find facts interesting. The subject matter usually is related to some aspect of entertain¬ment, but that isn’t always true. My main inspiration is the experience of trying to find specific information and not being able to do that easily. If I am having trouble, others probably are, too. The solution is for me to gather the information and make it available to others."
