My father Reverend Donn G. Jann was a great man and known throughout the USA. Donn was important in church, respected by many people, and taught son Gregg particularly and most our family, Jesus was not about money but that churches needed funds because of people. Donn Jann felt he was primarily a minister, even when tripling work as a church organization executives. His emphasis was about church membership working throughout the USA as a Church Development executive Vice President. Donn had 6 children who were for the most part college educated. The smart five got a more than one Associates degree, Bachelors or then Masters.
Donn loved people and people loved Donn, and he had fun socializing with people he knew and hosted people from all over the country at his house in New City, New York. His last wife Nancy Hearn Jann came from Consumers Reports and was on their magazines masthead. Nancy kissed Walter Cronkite on the lips during a Manhattan fundraiser in front of her stepson Gregg, surprising me and for her/his bragging rights. Son Gregg enjoyed Donn's hosting what Gregg called "F. Scott Fitzgerald" pool parties in New City, NY when Gregg was college age (‘80/2-’86) visiting across the nation bi-coastal from Chico State University via Santa Rosa/San Francisco, CA. Gregg Jann was surprised at the ending of the 2nd Star Wars one summer, with just Donn and Gregg as far as family watching it in New York. Gregg had made the point to jet-set in college some summers to New York for movies and Donn's pool parties. That one Star Wars movie Gregg liked but not his Dad (relating to the movie). Donn did have a good time with his children, and worked too hard admitting it. Reverend Donn Jann must have been on some kind of mission. Donn Jann assisted with his national focus in his work to help to develop and founded the new campus of the Presbyterian Churches, USA Headquarters in Louisville, KY in 1988; for a merger in a relocation from New York City for the north and between Atlanta for the southern part.
Reverend Donn Jann was progressive in his style of Presbyterian Churches, USA that he ran as the Minister for modern practices and innovation, and I don't know what he did to influence Social Principles as President, National Council of Churches. Donn Jann was powerful yet caring and sensitive, and the times of his era needed him. Son Gregg Jann did some Christian lessons on his own with his father Donn Jann influences in teaching belief in God and people. In example, son Gregg Jann stating his own religious beliefs for theology acceptance as in Reconciling Ministry as a youth very young meant for churches, in civics as an elected official for schools, and implicit as a union rep for counseling paid work.
My father was tough and somewhat strict when I was a joyful young child during Vietnam, I guess for disciplinary rules for a square person I remain. Donn Jann has an oldest son who may be still worth astronaut who aced UC Berkeley physics. Donn's 2nd oldest son won his heart with a placement in the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY as just a Little League slugger for streak hitting in the Little League World Series championships that Santa Rosa, CA won IT MOST ALL that year. My Dad loved ALL his children to succeed who we were, with no undo pressure.
Donn Jann and first wife Alice Jann had 6 children, which means 3 men and 3 women. Donn had some several Grand Children.
He was married to our mother Alice Joan Hartwell Jann for 25 years before moving from Santa Rosa, CA finally to New York where he stayed until retirement.
Donn Jann remarried Nancy Ruth Hearn Jann for 25 years once he lived in New York, marking to the day of her death in a very happy marriage in giving good company and joy to each other.
Reverend Donn Gerard Jann may have written a secret Bible, more than an ordinary text manuscript, accepted for Presbyterian Churches,USA on Special Commission of starting from (I’m not sure which) A Synod from Nebraska or all over the country for his work. The Third Trilogy or 3rd Testament meant for the Christian Bible so we learn better about God’s presence in our life from People He Knew, and more sermons/lessons from himself, nationwide clergy and those astute professionally in Protestant theology. Especially to it means in a person’s Emergency times or SNAFU’s like USA 1960s relatable when Donn, Alice, and their 6 young children and his 2 parents and the Vietnam Era all going strong. Donn's Life Work includes a Love Sonnet for his wife Nancy.
Reverend Donn G. Jann was known for strong sermons, and wrote beautifully in elegant Bible faith language. His wisdom sense of God going deeper than the surface, teaching lessons of God of people Donn knew in 8 Chapters. Son Gregg Jann is Tall in Achievement with much Community work, some business not much paid with stolen IP, and does not know if he would recognize himself as his father writes. One issue in Gregg’s Re-Memory Process, Gregg has uncovered he is a great TRUE LEGEND, some he knew when his Dad was alive, and believes his father recorded only Gregg’s life as poor and struggling like Christians talk about in Bible to some, that son Gregg Jann spent energy fighting from being discriminated by females, organizations, and industry by his having SMI and their lack or morals, which Gregg has had. Donn knew him as successful perhaps as he said to the youngest son. Gregg still thinks he should be wealthy from his own IP and that Gregg should be able to acquire all his wealth after he already had a grace period of sacrifice for his father's life work as he asked or forced upon him. Donn marched on the south during early 60s for Black African American Civil Rights, from Lexington, Nebraska as the main minister of his congregation. Donn has home videos of this experience, with placards held by men around Mississippi Court Houses, some others, for stories which we his family are all proud of. All Donn's lessons were Bible, in his Bible, or for Church, and he did have fun with his family as Gregg loved his times with him.
This 3rd Testament has 4 Chapters with another author who wrote about people he didn’t know commissioned from previous era. It may be Nolan Cromwell as author, and about a Royal English persona and soldiers and why they or we fight for God as a Christian stronghold.
