Career
She is best known for her stage shows often at the Pavilion Theatre in Glasgow. Paul"s notable roles include playing Magrit in the television version of Tony Roper"s The Steamie, Sandra Cully in Garnock Way and Micheline"s Mother in the 2005 film Festival. She has also had guest appearances in Still Game and Taggart.
Dorothy Paul was a regular on Scottish television in the 1980s and 90s and had her own new year programmes that featured her singing and telling stories of her childhood.
In the summer of 2009, Dorothy was a guest presenter on STV"s daily lifestyle show The Hour, alongside main anchor Stephen Jardine. She is mentioned in the second episode of the first series of Chewin" the Fat in a song celebrating Scotland: "Where else in the world would anyone else put up with Dorothy Paul?".
