Yoder devoted her career to teaching. First, she taught nature drawing at Philadelphia Museum School of Art (now Philadelphia College of Art) from 1944 to 1953. After a break, she started teaching art at Agnes Irwin School, working there from 1968 until her retirement in 1982.
Since 1982, Yoder had worked as a freelance illustrator, living in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania.

1994Yoder was a longtime member of Christ Episcopal Church in Media where she sang in the choir and painted the wall murals in the church school rooms. She was a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of Edgmont Twp. Fire Co., being the creative energy behind their Christmas Bazaar.
Yoder was married to Daniel Miller Yoder, who then deceased. The couple had 2 children, Tad Richard and Jonathan Daniel.
