Foreign a short while Nors studied religion science but changed to studying Nordic literature and art history.
She is the first Danish author to be published in the American magazine The New Yorker. In 1999 she graduated. Before Nors made her literary debut in her own name she worked as a translator for Swedish crime novels, mostly books by author Johan Theorin.
In 2002 she made her debut with the book Soul published by Samlerens Forlag publishers.
