Holleley received a BA from Macquarie University in Sydney (1971) and an MFA from the Visual Studies Workshop, State University of New York at Buffalo (1976).
Career
Holleley was a freelance photographer. In 1979 he taught workshops in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. In 1978 he led workshops at Apeiron and the International Center of Photography in New York and at Artists for the Environment in New Jersey. Holleley was Visiting Picker Professor of Fine Arts at Colgate University, Hamilton, New York, in 1977.
