Achievements include development of nuclear magnetic resonance methods for the detection of abnormalities of lithium transport in red blood cells and nerve cells of manic-depressive and hypertensive patients; research on the enzyme mechanism of copper, zinc-superoxide dismutase, a known scavenger of free radicals.
