Education

Gorzo received an Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts from the Bucharest National University of Arts in 1999, then studied with painter Florin Mitroi. He was one of the founding members of "Rostopasca", an influential contemporary artistic movement in Romania. Gorzo"s methods of working have ranged from street prankster to performance artist to studio painter and sculptor.

  Dumitru Gorzo is a distinguished contemporary artist. He is known to be one of the founding members of Rostopasca, an influential contemporary art movement in Romania. His works have been exhibited in different countries around the globe.
  
  Many works by the artist have been sold at auction, including his painting Bats, which was sold at "Artmark Postmodernism & Contemporary Auction" in 2011 for $10,799.
