Duraiswami Narayanamurti was born on September 11, 1904 in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu, India.

Education

Duraiswami Narayanamurti was educated at the University of Mysore, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in 1925. Later in 1929 he received Master of Science at the University of Bombay. Moreover, he was awarded the A.I.I.Sc. degree in Bangalore (1929), as well as Dr. Ing., Danzig., in 1935. Also he did research in Biochemistry and Wood Technology.

Career

Duraiswami Narayanamurti worked as Chief Research Officer and President at Forest Research Institute in Dehra Dun. Since 1962 - Director of Research Laboratory at Indian Plywood Manufacturers Research Association, Bangalore.
