Entered army, 1875; Captain, 1884. Major, 1895; retired, 1901. Three years in 1st West India Regiment.
Exchanged into 10th Foot (Lincolns.) Regiment 1878. Served South Africa, 1900 (wounded, despatches, Queen's medal, 3 clasps, Companion of the Distinguished Service Order). Companion of the Distinguished Service Order 1900; the Lincolnshire Regt; retired.
