Eduardo Comesana completed a master's degree in film-making at La Plata University School of Fine Arts in 1962.
Since 1977 Eduardo Comesana has been working as a freelance photographer and founded a picture agency representing various foreign agencies such as Camera Press in London and Black Star and Pictorial Parade in New York. Previously he was employed as a staff photographer for the following magazines in Buenos Aires: Primera Plana (1964-1966), Confirmado (1966-1968) and Editorial Abril (1968-1977).
Eduardo Comesana specialized in journalistic and documentary work, and in candid portraits of famous people, all of which he executed in both black- and-white and color. He used an unobstrusive small-camera technique.
Since 1964 Eduardo Comesana has been a member of the Asociación de Reporteros Gráficos de la Argentina for which he served as a vice-president during the year 1970-1971. In 1979 he was a founding member of the Consejo Argentino de Fotografía. He also belongs to the following American societies: ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers ), SPE (Society for Photographic Education) and Friends of Photography.
