Julius received Bachelor of Arts at State University of New York College at Fredonia in 1974. In 1975 he attended State University of New York at Buffalo.
Since 1987 Julius worked as a photojournalist in Pennsylvania Press Service. Since 1992 he took the position of director of development in August House, Inc., and was a vice-president of Open Space Gallery. Currentluy he is the artist, with work in public and private collections, including Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris, and Polaroid Corp. Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, and the member of Arts in Education Program. He is also a member of board of directors in Hunger Through the Arts Foundation. He is also a guest on television programs, including The Late Show with David Letterman.
Julius admitted that she supports all the religions.
On August 25, 1985, Julius married Terry Niedzialek, but they divorced in 1997.
