Mr. Garden arrived in this country in the early nineties to settle at St. Louis, Mo., and probably acquired or completed architectural training in that city. After serving for a time as draftsman in the office of Mauran & Russell, he was taken into the firm in 1898, and during the few years he continued that association desiqned the Second Baptist Church in St, Louis.
Shortly after the turn of the century Mr. Garden moved to San Francisco, and maintained an office in the Phelan Building for twenty years. In 1922 he left for Cleveland where his death subsequently occurred.
