HEAWOOD, Edward was born on August 20, 1863 in Newport, Shropshire. 2nd son of Reverend J. R. Heawood.

Education

Studied at Queen Elizabeth’s School, Ipswich. Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. 1st divorced 3rd class Classical Tripos, 1880.

Assisted in settlement of Santal Colony in Bengal Duars, 1890-1892.

Master of Arts.

Career

Assistant at Royal Geographical Society, 1894 -1900. Recorder, Secretariat East., British Association, 1903-1904 and 1906-1907. Librarian to the Royal Geographical Society since 1901.
