Was admitted to practice Michigan bar, 1895, Montana bar same year, United States Circuit Court, 1897, United States Circuit Court of Appeals, at San Francisco, 1899, Supreme Court of the United States Court, 1904. Practiced in Helena since 1895. City attorney, 1898-1904, 1908-1911, 1915-1918.

Mayor of Helena, 1911.

Ex-chairman Republican City Committee, Helena.
