Career

Their daughter Muriel Gardiner was a psychiatrist. As president of Morris and Company, Edward Morris was involved in the decision, in 1902, to form the National Packing Company This holding company was targeted by Arba Seymour Van Valkenburgh under the Elkins Acting and eventually broken up in 1912.

He died on November 3, 1913 in Chicago, Illinois of kidney disease.

Achievements

• Morris Glacier 1911 — elected a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.

• Morris was dean of science and chair of Department of Anthropology at the American Museum of Natural History, a member of the National Academy of Sciences, a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
