Efim Tarasovich performed as part of a folklore ensemble in the village of Afanasyevka at the House of Culture of the Alekseevsky district of the Voronezh region (since 1938). The artistic director of this ensemble since 1958. Under the direction of Efim Tarasovich, the ensemble received the title of folk group (1969). In the repertoire of the ensemble of the song: "The sun has rolled a little over the sun", "We are on the Don", "Our mother is along the Volga", "I walk, I walk until midnight" and others. Efim Tarasovich performed with the ensemble of recordings on the radio and long-playing records. The songs of the ensemble sounded in the movies: "The Noble Nest" (director Andrei Sergeyevich Konchalovsky), "The Voiced Side" (director Nikolai Filippovich Ryapolov) and others.
