Eugene Eduardovna Lineva (nee Papric) was born on December 28,1853 in Brest, Brestskaya Voblasts', Belarus.
Eugene Eduardovna studied in the St. Petersburg Conservatory (singing class of Zhoakkino Rossi) and in Vienna (with M. Markesi).
Eugene Eduardovna performed as a singer onto the stages of opera house in Vienna, Paris, London, Moscow (including Bolshoi theatre). When in emigration, she conducted Russian choirs that performed classic and folk music.She was a part of musical ethnographic commission in Moscow, gave lessons in folk conservatory.
Eugene Eduardovna was the first who had made extensive use of phonograph (since 1897) for recording folk music, also in Voronezh district, published all Voronezh related songs in the "Velikorusskiye pesni v narodnoy garmonizacii" collection (St. Petersburg, 1904-1909, 1-2 edition).
