In 1909 when Eijuro was five years old, started playing the Samisen. So talented was he that as accompanist he played the most important part of Samisen music for the late Enju-dayu and Shizu-dayu.
Since 1948, was an accompanist of Enjudayu VI.
Eijuro Kiyomoto was a brilliant as a composer, he won the prize of Minister of Education for Jusanya (The Thirteenth Night) contributed to the Arts and Music Festival of 1951. Furthermore, won the prize for Sei-rei (The Living Soul) at the concours held in 1953 under the auspices of the Shin Geind Shimbun Newspaper.
Eijuro Kiyomoto was designated by the government as owner of the intangible cultural treasure in 1955.
